Island Update Written by Eklund - December 3rd, 2008

The New York Islanders have made a plethora of moves in order to bolster chemistry in the lockeroom? Are these moves going to help or harm? Find out more in Eklund's Column.

The Islanders sent Ed Jovanovski, Adam Henrich and 2 6th rounders to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Wade Redden and David Jones.

Although Wade Redden doesn't possess the size of Ed Jovanovski , but he possesses the same set of skills and as long as Redden. continues his coarse of performance he could be a solid player in the CMHL for years to come.

My sources tell me that Jovo's inconsitency was the reason for him being dealt although he is Moll's Ideal Defenseman with speed and size.

Jovanovski was a stanley cup champion with the New York Islanders...So when the Avs face the Islanders don't be surprised if extreme emotion faces when that day comes along.

You can't be more true. Jovanoski is the first player I acquire when I got the Islander from the Devils for Mccabe. I wanted to put a stamp on the team. He was my leader but now we need to move on. He will be miss but I hope player are gonna see that we need to win if we want to stay together. Written By: Moll (2008-12-03 15:42:51)
