Habs/Avs Trade Written by Seymour Buttz - November 18th, 2009
A busy day of dealing sent an Avalanche of players out of town today.

In a deal that no one saw coming, the Colorado Avalanche Made two huge deals today, hoping to turn around this struggling squad. The deals make them stronger in some areas, and more vulnerable in others. First off, it was a huge deal with teh Montreal Canadiens. The Avs sent #1 centre Daniel Briere, #1 goaltender Cristobal Huet as well as Vets Andrew Ladd and Craig Rivet to the Habs for a return of Jason Arnott, Joffrey Lupul, Scott Clemmenson, Mike Komisarek and prospect Blake Kessel. This deal hopefully will make a more well rounded group and strengthens both their dfence and forward positions. For the second move of the day, the team finally completed the Alex Burrows deal, a deal which had previously been rejected. In the new deal the Avs send Burrows and just acquired goalie Clemmenson to Chicago for Wojtek WOlski and youngster Jack Skille. Avs GM Sentinel said "I had not planned to make such a deal, but the pieces made sense for us, and it allowed us to also do the Wolski deal, so all in all id say a good day for us. " When asked how he will replace the goaltending situation, GM Sentinel indicated for now he will call up Wade Dubliwicz.
