A Good Coyote Finnish! Written by Gerv - November 30th, -0001

Phoenix, Arizona.

In a surprised move the club made a transaction to acquire a veteran player by trading young assets.
A move some maybe left scratching their heads. Larouche promptly offered some comments.

"Nothing as changed for our club. We still plan on being a young upcoming team, however to be able to compete on a nightly basis you need a good foundation of veterans to surround the youngsters. We feel that having guys like Doan and Jokinen around the team will allow us to possibly try to push for a playoff spot this year. Did we give up some of the future for a short term fix, to some of you in the media and around the league maybe. However having three first round picks this year allow us to draft a player of Frolik's caliber and we felt that our 2009 pick was fair deal."

So with that said Larouche and the Coyotes still move forward with the building process but also offer some assurance to their fans that maybe it will not be another long year where the club misses the playoffs again.

I can tell you there is no bigger fan of the club then yours truly. I will actually look forward to going to the rink to see this team perform. I hope that many of you reading this article will provide some assurance that the club hired the right general manager to allow the club to make leaps and make the playoffs for the first time in their CMHL history.

Jokinen seen wearing the Finnish colors will be dawning a Phoenix jersey for season 5. A veteran counted on to provide good play and leadership to a young club.
