Sharks fire Lewis ; Hire Vigneault Written by San Jose Assistant GM - November 30th, -0001
THE NEWEST HEAD COACH OF THE SAN JOSE SHARKS

The San Jose Sharks have fired Head Coach Dave Lewis. This was , only hours after a management addition. The San Jose Sharks hired Jaroslav Moosenov as an Assistant General Manager. Moosenov made the announcement at the HP PAVILLION ARENA

"We needed a defensive coach , and on the bench we felt a change of direction was needed. We just weren't confident with Lewis as our guy heading into the season and in the end he wasn't really comfortable with us" Assistant General Manager Jaroslav Moosenov said

"As for Alain Vigneault , We felt that he would be instrumental in bringining a Stanely Cup to California. He's a defensive coach , and we are a very defensive team , so overall he fits in very well team" Moosenov added

His final thoughts where very interesting , he said that "Yes , we could've put a little more thought into who we hired as Head Coach..but sometimes people make mistakes. Dave shouldn't have been hired as Head Coach , and now Alain is our guy"

the Sharks General Manager has been preparing for the draft , but was on hand for the announcement. He made and interesting comment about Dave that set a few people off guard "He's not a very nice guy to work with" The Sharks GM said as a very blank statement

and with that , the press conference concluded.

More as it developes...
