Written by Brian McFarlane - June 5th, 2022

The Cleveland Barons and Hamilton Bulldogs will meet in this years ICHF Playoffs.

Cleveland won the Eastern Conference going away, while it looked touch and go whether Hamilton was even going to make it.  However, they got relatively hot down the stretch (6-2-2) and were able to lock down eighth place.  Their reward is to faceoff against the mighty Barons.

Shame, Shame, Shame
Written by Danny Gallivan - June 2nd, 2022

The last game of the season ended like too few had for the Montreal Canadiens … with a win, albeit in a shootout against the sad sack Los Angeles Kings.  Drake Caggiula scored the goal to send the team to the dressingroom happy, while Cory Schneider had to come in to relieve starter Louis Domingue.  It is very likely the last game for Schneider with Montreal and maybe even the CMHL, but atleast he gets to go out with a win.  Now the franchise waits for the Draft Lottery to see if they get a chance at Shane Wright (pictured).

Barrie off to Colorado
Written by Danny Gallivan - April 18th, 2022

The Montreal Canadiens have apparently shipped offensive blueliner Tyson Barrie (pictured) and pending unrestricted Free Agent to the playoff contending Colorado Avalanche.   The expected return is two draft picks in the 2024 draft.  This won't help the team win now or maybe even in the future, but it was something that needed to be done.  Not a big trade by any means, but the Canadiens continue to add to their future with a few more chances in the CMHL Entry Draft .. albeit many years in to the future.

The rebuilding continues in Montreal with the recently acquired Dustin Brown moved to Calgary for Logan Brown (pictured), Philip Svedeback and an exchange of draft picks.  Not a big trade by any means, but the Canadiens continue to get younger and try to stock the shelves of a franchise that's seen better days.
