The Kraken are crackin' up to be a playoff team.

No one ever estimated that the Seattle Kraken would be fighting for a playoff spot at this point in the season. Wtih 28 Games under the Kraken belt, the Seattle team sits in the 8th spot in the standings. Coming out of the gates to start the season the Kraken had no idea what to expect. GM Giddens came from an organization that was used to making the playoffs every season, so expectations were high in his mind. The roster on paper says otherwise. Winnipeg took a gamble with a few moves hoping for that #1 Overall pick. As of right now, that doesn't even look to be a top five.

Seattle's first fifteen games saw the Kraken sitting at 4-11 record. With no scoring, lack of skill up the middle, and only a defense and goalie to save them, GM Giddens felt it was time to make some moves. Bringing in questionable CMHL Patrick Laine and star studded John Tavares has since showed paying off. Tyler Meyers was moved with his record D-Man CMHL contract, GM Giddens also brought up young defenseman, Carson Soucy. The Kraken are 8-2 in the last ten games, with a huge win last night over rival, Vancouver Canucks.

GM Giddens, and the Seattle Kraken look forward to the rest of the season, in which has already been much of a surprise to the fan base in Seattle.
