The New Look Phoenix Coyotes

Above is the Coyotes new Captain Big Z, Zdeno Chara who was acquired from Boston this off-season to provide leadership and protection for the Coyotes Jonathan Quick. Below is new scoring forward Blake Comeau who was acquired from Tampa Bay for disgruntled forward Kyle Turris. Blake brings a wealth of playoff experience and a cup ring to his new club.

Swapping Struggling Forwards

The Phoenix Coyotes made some changes to their lineup after GM Larouche was left angered after a 6 to 2 lose to the Buffalo Sabres.

Mikko Koivu, Derek Mackenzie and Mchael Frolik will be joining their new teammates today after they were acquired from the San Jose Sharks. Frolik will report directly to San Antonio.

Cammalleri Stellar At All-Star / Phoenix Makes a Deal

Cammalleri who played on a 3rd line net a goal and assist with 6 shots and 16 minutes of play.

The Coyotes were involved in two blockbuster deals sending Malkin & Quick to Columbus acquiring Chris Stewart and Henrik Lundqvist only to ship Lundqvist, Brooks Laich & Henrik Tallinder who was acquired from San Jose for Tim Gleason to acquire Pekka Rinne, Anze Kopitar and Kevin Bieksa from the Senators.
