The Carolina Hurricanes have had their lumps over the last few years, and a strong comeback last season to make the playoffs for the first time in four years was rewarded with a rather surprising upset sweep of the Philadelphia Flyers, coupled with an almost come from behind series win to the second seed Washington Capitals showed GM Marty that the time to double down and officially end the rebuild and build around this core was now. The Hurricanes currently sit 7th in the East as of this writing have quickly built a team that can push for the playoffs, but do they have the necessary pieces to go further and establish re-establish themselves as a threat for top of the standings?

Hurricanes Revving up for Season 18

With RFA wrapping up, UFA about to start and Season 18 a stone's throw away from beginning. The Carolina Hurricanes have indicated that they'll likely only be in the free agent pool to solely fill out their farm team roster and have released their opeing night roster.
