Jaccob Slavin, Y:2023-RND:2-LAK, Conditional Draft Pick - Y:2024-RND:2-LAK traded to Edmonton forpick 2022.

We traded our best defenceman in Jaccob Slavin and our 2nd round pick 2023 and a conditional draft for a very prominent younger defenseman in Thomas Chabot and a 1st pick 2022.   Despite Slavin being only 27 years old and having at least 8 years of good hockey we came to the conclusion that  in oder to have a better position thi syear for the draft he had to go.  However in return having prominent and high potential Thomas Chabot  only at 24 years buys us the time frame of 2 years in rebuilding without sacrificing any future.  We believe he could reach the standard of Slavin around his age when the team should be more talented.  On top of it with our 1st pick by Edmonton hopefully we can grab a player that will help our club for the near future.
