The Buffalo Sabres are off to a roaring start in this new season with a 9-2-0 record and shwoing no signs of slowing down. Newly hired Sabres GM Tyler Procyk had a busy first offseason and it seems the moves made are paying dividends. 

The Sabres are relying on some of the new guys brought in to keep this team atop the Atlantic division in the early going. The teams top scorers Elias Lindholm (7G-15P) and Tomas Hertl (6G-15P) have both got off to scorching starts after joining the team via trade this offseason.

The Sabres depth seems to keep shining through as they look to have a more balanced scoring as they continue into the dog days of the season.

Players like Mark Stone (4G-8P), Matias Maccelli (1G-7P), and Nick Suzuki (4G-7P) have all been phenomenal pieces that have brought consistent scoring to the Sabres team.

The teams defensive core has a new look after this offseason but it's two top defensemen Jakob Chychrun and Shea Theodore both share the team lead in points from defenders with two goals and 10 points each. 

The goaltending duo in Buffalo has been solid to start the year Igor Shesterkin holds a .911 SV% with a 2.20 GAA after nine starts going 8-1-0. The teams backup, youngster Akira Schmid has started two games all year going 1-1-0 with. a .911 SV%. Schmid is expected to start the Sabres next game against the Florida Panthers.

The Sabres are hoping for more out of its younger players as Ross Colton, Timothy Liljegren, Alex Newhook and Mason Marchment have all been held to just two points each through 11 games. 

The team looks to keep their six-game win streak going tomorrow night in sunrise against the Florida Panthers.
